It is impossible for cool to be controlled. Things that are "cool" were decided a long time ago and the kind of "cool" we have now is just the recycled version of how it really started. You can't pinpoint where "cool" started. Nothing is original anymore, it's all just reused. We can't control "cool" because it is always being changed and made better.
People do anything for money. So of course the media is going to exploit us for ours. Why wouldn't they? They don't know us, all they see are teenagers looking out for are the newer and better things. They see how easy it is to exploit us for whatever we have so that we can get whatever it is we want.
