I think we do have control of whats cool, because we choose whats cool. since company's go out and find out what teens find cool by focus groups and they send out people to take pictures of teens and the types of clothes they wear. They even go to teens houses to look in their rooms and closets. then they produce it and sell it to other teens. By the time everybody has the merchandise it becomes uncool. After all the discussion in class i do agree that corporate has hacked into teens to exploit the teens and parents labor. Because the corporate does anything they possibly can to find out whats cool too teens and then sell it so they can make some profit out of it.
