"MTV is the lava lamp of the 1980's."

MTV was one of the best programs on television out there. Back in the 80's, MTV was all about music; 80's Rock, breakdancing, pop-blocking, clothes/fashion, etc... there was a whole lot of culture besides "the music." It was a way for artists to show their personality on a video. An awesome video is the video with "Aerosmith & Run DMC - Walk This Way." I believe that this is a classic 80's video. It shows two different types of genre that showed the world that rock and hip-hop works togeather, it's MUSIC.
Now you have MTV playing all this garbage on the channel. Real World, TRL, Sweet 16 b-day, and the list goes on and on. They don't play the music videos anymore. And when they do, it's only for a short time. It sucks and I don't watch it anymore. I guess it's like the lava lamp... it's fun to look at, and it amazes how you can just imagine how carefree it is, but eventually you'll get bored. Enjoy the video!
