Agreed.
I agree with the main argument of merchants of cool. Corporate interests have, in one-way or another, taken over our choice of what is or isn’t cool. Teens today meticulously watch and copy what they see in the media so that they can, in return, regurgitate it back to their own group of friends as being cool and trendsetting. Even if we could decide what is cool on our own, we would still conform to the mold that society and corporate interests have already made for us in order to be accepted in society today.

i totally agree with you. There is no way that teens will ever rebel against what they are being told is "cool". because you wouldn't be "cool" if you did that
